Asking for It by Lilah Pace

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was only ok. I enjoyed their relationship. It was interesting to read a different version of a love story. Too deeply broken people who work through their brokenness together. The sex was hot and I liked the taboo subject. I appreciate women being able to explore every bit of their sexuality, no mater where it stems from. Also, the truth of Jonah’s history was actually a surprise. I didn’t see the full extent of what happened to him coming.

However, I was so bored by everything else in the book. Her friends and relationships outside of Jonah were dull and I had to skim through nearly all of it.

There is no HEA in this book. That’s ok. The type of book didn’t require it, but I was surprised. I just suggest reading it when you’re looking for something other than that.

Editing to add that I’m pleased to see that book number 2 is Jonah and Vivienne continued. I’ll definitlely read to finish their story. But undoubtedly will skim all the extra parts not involving them.
